Two accomplices of Pak spy nabbed in Lucknow

Special Cell of Delhi police on Tuesday arrested two people who had helped the Pakistanti spy Amir Ali in getting passport and other documents from Lucknow, reports HT Correspondent.

Special Cell of Delhi police on Tuesday arrested two people who had helped the Pakistanti spy Amir Ali in getting passport and other documents from Lucknow. The police had taken them to Delhi. Amir was nabbed at airport in Delhi on Monday.

The additional director general (law and order-west), AK Jain, who is also ATS chief, told journalists in Lucknow on Tuesday that Mohd Arshad alias Arshoo and Aman alias Chand, who were working as touts at Lucknow regional passport office, had arranged fake documents for Amir Ali, a resident of Mustafabad, Lahore, to get Indian passport which was issued on July 5, 2005 on a fake address- 172/84 Zamboor Khana, near Odeon cinema, GPO, Lucknow. Arshad and Chand belonged to Lucknow.

Amir had also succeeded in getting PAN and had also submitted income tax returns for three years (2004-05 to 2006-07). PAN was issued at his Vijay Khand, Gomtinagar address. In order to hide his identity, Amir was working as electrician at Sangam electricals. Driving license was also issued to Amir on September 20, 2005 on Zamboor Khana address.

Significantly the touts also arranged fake reports from police and local intelligence unit (LIU), which are necessary for passport. The LIU dispatch No S -649, June 9, 2005 was actually on record in the name of Sunil Saxena of Sundarbagh, Lucknow.
