Kumar directed the officials to conduct a site survey and carry out necessary formalities for establishing the university in collaboration with Japan. Presently, the National Institute for Disaster Management under the Union Home Ministry takes care of relief and other operations in cases of natural disasters and calamities with the help of their state counterparts.

Kumar sought Japanese help and collaboration in setting up educational centres in underprivileged areas of Ambedkar Nagar and upgradation of medical facilities and equipment at Fatima Hospital in UP CM’s hometown Gorakhpur.

Kenko told Kumar how Japan was helping in Swachch Bharat and Clean Ganga Action plan and had recently inked Kyoto-Varanasi pact for construction of a state-of-the-art Varanasi Convention Centre after Japanese premier Shizo Abey’s meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
