Chembur and Mulund city’s hottest at 36°C

The maximum temperature in the suburbs was 34.8 degrees Celsius, 1.3 degree Celsius above normal, while Colaba recorded 34 degrees Celsius, close to the normal mark.

The weather bureau has predicted that maximum temperatures in the city are expected to witness a gradual rise through the week. On Monday, the city recorded high humidity levels and above normal temperatures. Humidity at Colaba was 91% as compared to 70% at Santacruz.

The maximum temperature in the suburbs was 34.8 degrees Celsius, 1.3 degree Celsius above normal, while Colaba recorded 34 degrees Celsius, close to the normal mark.

Location-wise day temperatures in the city were highest at Chembur and Mulund — 36 degrees Celsius — while remaining areas were between 33 and 34 degrees Celsius, said KS Hosalikar, deputy director general (western region), India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The night temperature in the suburbs was almost 2 degrees Celsius below normal at 25.4 degrees Celsius while minimum temperature at south Mumbai was almost normal.
