Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have signed a new joint defence agreement in Mecca, formally bringing together three major Muslim powers amid a growing regional crisis involving Iran, the United States and Israel. Officials say the pact includes a collective-defence principle in which an armed attack on one country would be treated as an attack on all three—but the detailed terms, force commitments and command arrangements remain undisclosed. The agreement expands on the Saudi–Pakistan mutual-defence pact signed in 2025. This video explains what is known about the Mecca deal.
