Search operations at Savitri River in Mahad town of Maharashtra started again on Sunday at 6 am, making it the fifth day of the operation being conducted by NDRF with the help of Indian Navy, coast guard and local fishermen.

Using ultrasound and sonar equipment for the operation, the search and rescue personnel have, thus far, recovered 25 bodies from Savitri River. 23 bodies have been identified, in which 10 are of the passengers from Rajapur- Borivali bus, seven from the Jaigad-Mumbai bus and the remaining six from private cars that fell into the river after the British-era bridge collapsed.
13 passengers are still missing. Search for them is still on, but not much hope of survival remains.
