“Since there is no decision by the government regarding our land, we have decided to conduct a meeting with villagers and farmers on how to carry forward our demands,” said Hemant Bhal, a resident of Bhal village.

After the June 22 violent protests, the villagers are tensed.

“The residents of the village are living in fear. The police are arresting them from their workplace which is wrong. They are not criminals,” added Bhal.

“We fear of the police and political leaders. They all are against us. We can’t sleep unless there is a solution,” said Shyam patil, another resident of Nevali pada.
