“We’ve been receiving calls all morning because many students are travelling from various parts of the state and country to confirm their admissions. We have requested the state CET cell to extend the deadline by a few days,” said the principal of Lala Lajpatrai College of Law. She added that for the time being, students have been asked to return with their demand drafts to confirm admissions tomorrow .

The deadline for the first year law admissions was recently extended to November 10 but the government’s sudden decision to shut banks and ATMs for two days might see the deadline getting extended by another few days. “Extending the deadline by one or two days will not help because we are nearing a weekend. We have requested the state CET cell to extend the deadline till November 15,” said the principal of a suburban law institute.
