Mumbai man poses as girl to befriend 13-year-old on Facebook, sends her obscene videos

Mumbai city news: The accused, Prashant Tak, a resident of Mumbai, does odd jobs and opened a fake account on a social networking site and used it to befriend the girl.

A 24-year-old man was arrested in Thane for cheating a 13-year-old girl while posing as a girl on a social networking site and sending her obscene videos.

“The victim got a friend request from a social networking site from a girl named Khushi last week. She accepted it thinking a girl wants to be friends with her and started chatting with her. The two developed a good friendship and even exchanged phone numbers” said a police officer from Shrinagar police station.

“Tak then started sending obscene videos and threatened the girl,” said the officer.

The accused also told the girl that a guy named as Tak can help them and soon a meeting was set up. “ After the meeting, Tak disclosed that it was a fake account. The girl then lodged a complaint,” said the officer.
