Mumbai man, 2 friends held for circulating obscene photos of girlfriend on Whatsapp

Mumbai city news: The man is remanded in police custody till July 14, his friends are on the run.

A 19-year-old woman filed a molestation case against her boyfriend, identified as Rakesh Singh, and his two friends for circulating objectionable photos of her on social media.

Singh’s friends — Akhilesh Singh and Kushal Yadav — are on the run.

Rakesh was produced in court and remanded in police custody till July 14.

“We have taken help of cyber cell officers to stop the photos from being circulated. Rakesh was arrested under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code,” said M Bagwan, senior police inspector.
