Mumbai Police are at it again.
And the force is being praised for its new social media campaign to promote safe driving in the city, especially for drivers who are tech-obsessed, by their followers on Twitter for being “spot on”.
“Be a story teller on your handle later, not someone whose stories will be told later,” the department tweeted on Tuesday with a hashtag ‘DontAppAndDrive’.
“Don’t let your ‘last seen’ in the virtual world be the last time your loved ones see you in the real world,” they tweeted on Monday using the same hashtag.

{{/usCountry}}The department has been consistently playing with words, picking up Bollywood references, using trendy memes, GIFS and witty one-liners to get their message on cyberstalking, piracy, traffic safety, and drugs across to a new generation ever since its Twitter debut in December 2015.
With over 4.23 million followers, they are clearly one of the most popular Twitter handles on the social media platform.
“This slogan gets Thumbs up!” one of the followers commented on the post.
