Sheena Bora murder case: Indrani’s secretary quizzed by her lawyers
Sharma accepted that the details on the cheques were filled in by her, but denied having forged signatures of her former employer
Indrani Mukerjea’s lawyers on Tuesday confronted her secretary Kajal Sharma in the Sheena Bora murder case, accusing her of forging Indrani’s signatures on cheques and of siphoning money from her bank account.

Sharma, the third witness to depose against the trio, is being cross examined by Indrani’s lawyers, advocate Sudeep Pasbola and advocate Gunjan Mangla. During the cross examination, Pasbola accused Sharma of having forged Indrani’s signatures on four cheques which were later deposited to be encashed.
CBI has in their charge-sheet attached copies of the four cheques signed by Indrani. According to the prosecution, one of the cheques was meant for Indrani’s driver Shyamwar Rai, and other three were self-payee cheques.
Sharma accepted that the details on the cheques were filled in by her, but denied having forged signatures of her former employer.
The defence has now moved a plea seeking direction to the CBI to produce original cheques in the court.
The prosecution claimed that Sharma had forged Sheena’s signature on various documents, including Sheena’s resignation letter addressed to her boss, on Indrani’s instructions after Sheena was done to death.
The defence on Tuesday confronted Sharma on various documents and also asked if she had deleted some of the emails exchanged between Indrani and Sharma. Sharma said she had deleted the email containing the specimen of Sheena’s signature.
The defence asked if Sharma thinks that forging a signature was wrong. She replied that she did not realise that she was doing something wrong and that she was not aware that Sheena was dead and merely followed the instructions of her boss – Indrani.
Indrani and her husband, former media baron, Peter Mukerjea and her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna are facing the charge of killing her Indarni’s daughter from her initial relationship, Sheena Bora.
