MUMBAI: Despite the heavy rain over the past week, the city may not get a respite from the 20% water cut anytime soon. Reason: there has been no significant rise in the water level in the reservoirs. According to the civic body, the storage in seven lakes is 1.5 lakh million litres, 1.7 lakh million litres less than last year. While Santacruz got 20mm rain on Sunday, Colaba recorded 22.6mm. The weather bureau has forecast light showers on Monday. Meanwhile, three people drowned in different parts of the city on Sunday.
