MUMBAI: A 70-year-old man was booked for killing his son over property dispute on Wednesday. The accused, Rajesh Sone, is currently being treated at a civic hospital in Thane and will be arrested after he is discharged.

Sone and his son Ravishankar sold imitation jewellery in Thane. On Sunday, the duo got into a heated argument over property at their home at Patlipada in Thane.
“Sone stabbed his son with a knife in front of his family members. Ravishankar succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday,” said D Tele, senior inspector from the Kasarwadavli police station in Thane.
According to police, the duo has been fighting over property for the past six months. “We will arrest Sone after doctors’ nod,” said Tele.
Sone has been charged under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code.
