Rattled by the move, the AI management on Sunday sent out a mail buying time from the cabin crew.

The note by Captain DX Pais, general manager, cabin crew, said the management had agreed a pending proposal of revised basic pay and salary harmonization for cabin crew but it had no other options barring the pay cut at the moment.

The Air India spokesperson did not respond to HT’s calls and a query sent through text messages.
