10 dead as tanker hits 3-wheeler in Dhule

Ten persons, including two women, were killed and twelve others seriously injured in a collision between a tanker and minidor rickshaw at Kurkhodi phata on Dhule-Shirpur road on Sunday, police said.

The toll is expected to go up as the condition of the injured is reported to be serious.

According to the police, the mishap took place when the tanker going to New Delhi from Baramati collided with the rickshaw coming from the opposite direction.

All the victims were travelling in the rickshaw. The local villagers rushed to the rescue of the victims and admitted the injured to the Dhule civil hospital.

The tanker driver, Ram Gopal Nandlalji, 29, has been arrested.
