Prem Jaiswal was caught from near Mathoshree Hospital at Sion in 2008.

According to Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), he had 16 kg hashish at the time of arrest.

The NCB arrested him and booked him under stringent NDPS act.

During the trial, the prosecution produced witnesses and argued that hashish was indeed caught from Jaiswal.

However, Jaiswal's lawyer, Taraq Sayyed, argued that Jaiswal never possessed the contraband and it was planted on him.

"Jaiswal has been falsely implicated in the case", argued Sayyed.

But accepting the prosecution's contention, the court convicted Jaiswal and sentenced him to 10 years imprisonment.
