On Tuesday, they arrested Kanwar Nain Wazirchand Pathrija, 42, the main hawala operator in the blasts case, from Delhi.

“The accused in the 13/7 case took a circuitous path and tried to cover their tracks, which is why it took so long to solve the case,” the officer said.

A team of ATS officers led by senior inspector Dinesh Kadam, inspector Ninad Sawant and assistant inspector Sachin Kadam narrowed down on the suspect in Delhi. The team then camped in Delhi for nearly a month and tracked the accused to Ghaziabad.

Speaking on related developments, ATS officials said they were likely to get custody of Haroon Rashid Naik on Wednesday after which they would be questioning the two in detail.
