2 students, bus driver hurt in school bus accident in Juhu

A clean-up van led to yet another school bus accident in Juhu on Saturday morning. Two children and the bus driver sustained minor injuries in the accident. The Juhu police have arrested the driver of the clean-up van whose alleged rash driving led to the incident.

According to the Juhu police, the incident took place around 7.15am on the Andheri stretch of the SV road. The school bus, with 21 children on board, was headed to the St Xavier’s school at Santacruz. A speeding clean-up van, that was moving parallel to the bus suddenly crossed the bus’s lane. “The driver of the school bus had to apply sudden breaks to avert a major accident and led to the children getting injured,” said Arun Bhagat, senior inspector of Juhu police station.
