A day after more than 700 shanties were gutted in a major fire in Bandra East, in another incident more than 70 shanties got destroyed in a fire in Malvani village at Malad on Saturday evening.

The fire that started around 4 pm took almost 2 hours to be doused. According to fire officials, the source of the fire is unknown.
No injuries or casualties were reported in the fire.
