Admission schedule to be ready on Thursday

“The website will be ready for admissions on Friday, said a department official.

On Tuesday, the Supreme Court had ruled in favour of extending the Best-Five scheme conditionally to ICSE students. The state government had earlier announced the scheme only for SSC students.

“The software is still under development as some small changes need to be made after the verdict gave ICSE students two options,” said the official. The court had said that ICSE students could avail of the best-five option provided it did not include subjects in Group III. If a student’s percentage based on all seven subjects is higher, he/she can choose to apply with the total percentage.

“The form will be the same whether a student applies with the best-five score or with all seven, they will just have to choose their options under each of the groups accordingly,” said the official.

ICSE students may have to fill in their forms again through their schools as many had already filled the forms based on the total of 700 marks.

“My school has called us all on Friday to fill in the form again once the website reopens for submissions,” said Harshit Dua, a student of Bhakti Vedanta School in Juhu.

“A month ago, we all filled in the forms through the school, as the server has to approve the application form before we can move on to fill the option form,” said Sujay Shah, a Green Lawn’s School student. “We are still waiting to see what we will have to do once the site reopens.”
