The agreement between the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and SevenHills Hospital in Andheri (East) is stuck for clearance for one clause, Swadheen Kshatriya, municipal commissioner said on Friday. Five out of the six clauses set by the BMC have been resolved by the hospital.

The disputed clause is to provide medicines at the same rates as provided in municipal hospitals. "We want patients to be provided medicines at affordable rates, but they [hospital authorities] are not agreeing. However, we have asked their members to convince their board of directors for the same," said Kshatriya.
Nearly 80% of the hospital staff would be locals with 15 years of domicile certificate in the state. The BMC has also been able to convince the hospital authorities to reserve 20% beds for people referred by civic hospitals.
Another condition was to have an officer on special duty appointed by BMC who will monitor whether everything is in place. Services like X-ray and sonography will be charged as per municipal hospital rates only.
