Rock Bottom club, which was illegally functioning in the basement of Ramee Guestline Hotel in Juhu, was served a notice under the Maharashtra Regional Town Planning Act on Friday.

Civic authorities have found that in the original plan the basement was reserved as a store room, but the hotel used it as a pub to generate more revenue.
“We have issued a notice to the hotel,” said R.W. Pawar, assistant municipal commissioner K-West ward.
The hotel plan submitted to the municipal corporation's building proposal department clearly stated that the basement area would be reserved as a store room, air-conditioning unit, filtration plant, fire shaft and service lift.
The management later converted the space into the nightclub and a conference room.
“Within a month if they don't convert the nightclub back into a storage room, we will register a police complaint and prosecute the management,” added Pawar. These violations surfaced when Aditya Dube (7), who was dining with his family, fell over the two-ft high parapet and came crashing down to the ground.
