The body of newborn baby boy was found lying at Mora Village located on Juhu beach on Wednesday.

The police said the baby was found lying on the beach uncovered around 11 am.

A lifeguard from Juhu beach said, “While walking on the beach, we noticed something on the sand. On looking closer we saw it was a newborn boy. We immediately informed the police.”

The police said that the baby had been abandoned immediately after delivery as an act of concealing the birth.

Police sub inspector, Ashok More, of Juhu police station said, “We have registered a case under section 318 (concealment of birth by secret disposal of dead body). We are trying to trace the person who left the body there.”
