It was a local brawl that escalated into something big. The accused reacted adversely to it.

What action will the government take?
The case will be tried through a fast-track court. We will provide the families the best lawyer as a public prosecutor. We will give them whoever they wish should fight their case.

The state will immediately file the charge sheet, as per the findings of the police investigation.

Priyanka Fernandes, who was with her friends Keenan and Reuben when they were stabbed, claims to have dialed the police helpline number 100 continuously, but no one answered her call. Why are police inaccessible when people need them most?
I haven’t received a formal complaint from any of the eyewitnesses on this. However, we will investigate the issue. Several times, there are multiple calls coming in at the same time, and the system gets overloaded. We are working towards improving this.
