Mumbai airport's website was hacked on Thursday causing a minor scare among fliers who visited the site.

However, the panic was short lived as the airport operator shut down the website as soon as the hacking came to their notice.
Airport officials said the hackers put a photograph of an air crash and claimed it could soon happen in Mumbai.
The hacked page also claimed the airport could be vulnerable to security lapses, as the hackers had accessed confidential information about security arrangements.
A Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) spokesperson said, "We have no immediate information about who is behind the hacking. A complaint has been lodged with the cyber crime cell of Mumbai police. We are taking all measures to the restore the website soon," said the spokesperson.
