During his initial inspections on CR rail network, Jain said he found many suburban stations without roofs, something he hopes to change soon.

Jain admitted that toilets at most smaller suburban stations were in a poor state. “People in Mumbai are traveling for hours and clean toilets are essential. Within a few months passengers will be able to use better toilets on the CR,” Jain said. He plans to collaborate with local businesses to ensure that once built, these toilets are maintained. Jain also listed lack of foot overbridges at stations such as Thane, as a major concern. “I found that lack of FoBs, or their inconvenient placement is forcing people to cross railway tracks, leading to accidents. I wish to provide more FoBs, the first of which will come up in Thane within the next 13 months.”
