The administration offered him a cosier way to feel commuters’ anguish.

The comfort ride notwithstanding, Chavan made suggestions to the agencies managing the city’s traffic.

On Wednesday morning, he set out in a minibus from his official residence in Malabar Hill to Haji Ali junction, where he reached atop Hira Panna building to view the traffic chaos down below.

Chavan zoomed through the sealink to reach Bandra’s National College where he interacted with people who had many traffic-related complaints to make.

Chavan asked the accompanying authorities — civic, transport and police — to take commuters into confidence before finding ways to resolve the traffic crisis.

Chavan also visited police’s main control room from where 82 close circuit cameras monitoring city’s traffic are manned.
