The CCTV cameras will record the vehicle number and the face of the driver, and the details will be sent to the toll plaza, if the driver is found to be speeding. The driver will then have to pay a fine at the toll plaza.

According to sources, the proposal is under consideration and Keltron, a Kerala government undertaking, gave a presentation to government officials a few months ago on the use of CCTV cameras to curb accidents.
