You will not able to book tickets for journeys on Cental Railways for nine hours between 8.30pm on Sunday and 5.20am on Monday due to an ongoing upgrade.
In addition to the passenger reservation system (PRS), activities like internet booking, and online current booking would remain unavailable during this period. The temporary shutdown is to allow the Central Railway to upgrade its ticketing related storage system.
During the nine hours, even interactive voice response systems, current booking, refund counters and coaching refund terminals will not work, CR said. However, the railways will provide a facility to allow manual current booking and refund during this period.
This facility is meant for those passengers who want to travel or cancel their tickets at the last minute.
