Former Maharashtra minister and NCP MLA Vimal Mundada on Thursday passed away at Leelavati hospital here after a prolonged battle with cancer, family members said.

Former Maharashtra minister and NCP MLA Vimal Mundada on Thursday passed away at Leelavati hospital after a prolonged battle with cancer, family members said.

She was 49 and is survived by her husband Nandkishore and son Akshay.

Mundada represented Kaij assembly segment in Beed district.

She held portfolios like PWD and Health, Women and Child Development in the Congress-NCP government.

Mundada began her political career as a BJP member and later joined NCP.
