Ex-student abducts and loots trainer

A trainer at an Underwater Training Institute in Dombivli (E) was kidnapped by four youngsters, including an ex-student, on Monday.

A trainer at an Underwater Training Institute in Dombivli (E) was kidnapped by four youngsters, including an ex-student, on Monday.

Dhanna Singh, the student, called trainer, Manas Ranjan Mishra (47), about a friend who wanted to join the institute. Mishra asked him to come at 8pm. While Mishra was on his way to the institute, Dhanna and three others flagged down Mishra’s vehicle. As soon as they settled inside the car, they started beating Mishra. They took vehicle to Igatpuri, where they allegedly beat him and took his valuables. On Tuesday, Mishra filed an FIR at Manpada police station.

“We have sent a police team along with Mishra to Igatpuri to investigate the matter,” said Vasant Sonawane, police inspector, Manpada police station.
