The Juhu police on Friday arrested a 20-year-old for allegedly trying to break into Jalsa, actor Amitabh Bachchan's bungalow in Juhu.

Additional commissioner of Police (West Region) Vishwas Nangre-Patil said the police had registered a case of house break-in theft against the accused, Deepak Kevad.
The police said Kevad climbed a gulmohar tree adjacent to the bungalow and entered through an open bedroom window.
“He picked up Rs 8,000 from a drawer and was about to escape, when a house help spotted him and raised an alarm,” officials said. The security personnel at the bungalow handed him over to the police. Police are checking if he has any criminal cases against him.
Kevad told the police that he was a fan of (Amitabh) Bachchan and wanted to see him, adding that he had no intention of stealing. The police are verifying his claims.
Kevad has been remanded in police custody for 14 days.
