Home Secy to probe Gaffoor's remark issue
Maharashtra Home Minister R R Patil has asked State Chief Secretary (Home) Chandra Iyengar to conduct an inquiry on the issue of former Mumbai Police Commissioner Hassan Gafoor being quoted by a news magazine, accusing four senior officers of dereliction of duty during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.

Maharashtra Home Minister R R Patil has asked State Chief Secretary (Home) Chandra Iyengar to conduct an inquiry on the issue of former Mumbai Police Commissioner Hassan Gafoor being quoted by a news magazine, accusing four senior officers of dereliction of duty during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.
"Taking strong view of the controversy after the four officers voiced their protests over the remarks, Patil asked the Home Secretary to probe the matter," a Home department official said.
Gafoor was quoted by a news magazine as saying that the four officers had indulged in dereliction of duty during the terror strike.
