From machines created from Leonardo Da Vinci’s designs to innovations from the Defence Research and Development Organisation, Tech Fest 2011 is showcasing cutting edge technology from across the world.

The largest science and technology festival in Asia, Tech Fest is organised by the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT-B).
The event with a tagline of ‘Dare to Dream’ will be held from January 7 to 9 and is expecting a footfall of over 75,000 people. The 20 competitions will see more than 20,000 national and international participants.
“We have 35 exhibits from over 10 countries such as Switzerland, France and the US. Our highlight is the Da Vince robots,” said Ronnie
Philip, media coordinator for the event.
Prominent innovators such as the founder of Google Earth, Micheal Jones, and 1996 Nobel laureate for Chemistry Harold Kroto will be addressing participants.
The festival also has a segment for technology developed by faculty members. It provides a platform where faculty member can meet industry representatives.
