Inmate found with drugs

The police on Monday arrested an inmate of Nagpur prison for possessing marijuana and narcotics capsules. Rachna Pratihar reports.

The police on Monday arrested an inmate of Nagpur prison for possessing marijuana and narcotics capsules. On November 13, the prison staffers found Farid Sheikh in possession of 40 gms of marijuana and 76 narcotics capsules.

The police said the drugs were discovered last Friday evening. “Farid, along with other accused’ was produced before the Kanthi Court (Nagpur rural) in the robbery case. During physical search after he was brought back to the jail, the prison staffs found a container of Dabur tooth powder in his possession,” said Senior Inspector Sanjay Joshi.
