Kakkad’s kin pin hopes on DNA profiling report

“The bracelet belongs to him. However, that does not prove that the remains found were Karan's,” said Hanish Kakkad, Karan's brother. “Only the DNA report will be able to prove if the remains found in Kumbharli ghat are those of Karan.”

Hanish said that on Friday, he spoke to police officials and requested them to speed up the DNA verification process.

“Once the DNA report arrives, we can either proceed with the last rites of my brother or go back to Delhi and take care of our other responsibilities. The police have promised us that they will send a letter to the forensic science laboratory and that the report will arrive in the next five days,” he said.

Hanish said the police also questioned Karan's domestic help as part of the probe.
