Sources in the agency said that it was done now so that Khan could not leave the country when he gets bail. “During investigation, it had come across that he had six passports and it is possible that he could escape out of the country after getting bail,” an ED official said.

He added that by attaching the assets and properties, the agency has made it difficult for him to evade the law.

The ED on Thursday attached Khan’s 2,000 sq ft flat in Anand Darshan building at Peddar Road, 10,000 sq ft property in Tulip building of Valentine Society at Koregaon Park in Pune, six cars, including three Mercedes, one Porsche Cayenne, one Hyundai Sonata and one Opel Corsa, and 32 horses. The agency also attached his aide Kashinath Tapuriah’s bungalow at Prithviraj Road in New Delhi.
