Light rain in parts of city

Light rains in parts of the city brought a short respite from the October heat on Sunday. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast for Monday includes light shower or thundershowers in some areas on Monday.

Light rains in parts of the city brought a short respite from the October heat on Sunday. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast for Monday includes light shower or thundershowers in some areas on Monday.

"Monsoon has not withdrawn from Mumbai. These are slight passing showers," said V K Rajeev, director, western region, IMD.

However, weather stations at both Colaba and Santa Cruz recorded no rainfall, despite showers in the city.

The maximum temperature at the maximum and minimum temperature for the next 24 hours would be around 32 degrees Celsius and 26 degrees Celsius respectively.
