The police said the complainant, Mauji Patel, 30, is a resident of Malad (East) and runs a super market at Thakur Village, Kandivli (East). Patel told the police that Kishor, alias Kasha Rao had been working in his store for a few years. On Thursday morning Patel sent Rao to collect Rs15 lakh from his friend’s residence. “When Rao had not returned for more than two hours, he suspected foul play. Rao’s phone too was switched off,” said inspector Dilip Yadav, from Dindoshi police station.

Patel then lodged a complaint at the Dindoshi police station. “The case has been registered and we have made teams to locate Rao. Rao’s mobile is switched off, so we have been unable to trace him so far,” said Yadav.
