The police suspect that Khan, 35, someone must have hit a blunt object on his head that resulted in the injuries.

The police are now questioning a bar girl, who the deceased’s family suspects of having a role in the murder. Khan had allegedly gifted the girl a gold watch and Rs2 lakh. However, when he learned that the girl was getting close to another man, Khan allegedly asked her to return the gifts and also got into a scuffle with the girl’s mother last Wednesday.

An officer, requesting anonymity, said, the girl and her friend are being interrogated. “Apart from that, we are also exploring other leads in the case.” Asked whether Khan had been murdered in the car or his body had been dumped, the officer said that prima facie it appeared that he was murdered in the vehicle itself.
