The identity of the man, who jumped off the Bandra-Worli sea link on Saturday morning, is yet to be ascertained. The traffic police have given footage from the CCTV cameras, in which the incident has been captured, to the local police for further investigations.

“So far, we have not been able to trace the identity of the person. We have not found any identification papers on him,” said Ashok Unde, senior inspector at the Dadar police station.
The deceased appeared to be in his thirties. He jumped off from the centre of the 5.6-km long Bandra-Worli sea link around 9.30am on Saturday. The police said that he was reportedly carrying a suspicious object, which he threw before taking the plunge into the sea.
The police have not been able to ascertain how and when the person reached the bridge despite high security.
