The Mumbai Traffic police's official Facebook page was flooded with comments from angry commuters on Tuesday.

At about 11 am, the police posted a message alerting commuters about the rickshaw strike.
While some netizens expressed annoyance at the inconvenience caused, some also expressed delight at the traffic-free roads.
Many thanked the traffic police for the warning and wrote about how they managed in the absence of rickshaws. “We are happy that people are following the Facebook page, and that it's helping them,” said an officer on condition of anonymity.
The police updated their message later in the day, informing people that not all transport unions had joined the strike, adding that there were taxis on the roads and that the suburbs were mainly affected by the agitation.
Several commuters were angry with the rickshaw drivers, requesting the police to keep citizens updated about such strikes in the future.
