Thakur had filed a bail plea on the grounds that no case had been made out against her. Her counsel Rameshwar Gite said that they would challenge the order of the special court before Bombay high court.

Thakur had earlier moved bail applications on medical grounds, which had been rejected by the court.

Thakur is one of the 12 accused arrested in connection with 2008 Malegaon blast case, in which six were killed and 100 others were injured.

The accused have been booked under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA), Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) besides the IPC.
