One of Vijay Palande’s alleged accomplices, Dhananjay Shinde was sent to police custody till Wednesday as the crime branch, investigating the Tikku murder case, wants to interrogate him together with Palande.

Shinde, Palande and Manoj Gajkosh were arrested on April 10 in connection with the Arun Tikku murder case.
When they were produced before a magistrate court at Andheri on April 11, Shinde had said he wanted to confess to the crime and claimed no one else was responsible for the murder of 67-year-old Tikku. After his plea to confess, Shinde was sent to judicial custody.
Shinde was on Tuesday produced before the court by the crime branch. The investigating agency sought for his police custody stating they needed to interrogate him and confront him with Palande on the details of his confession. The court granted custody of Shinde to the police for one day till Wednesday, as Palande’s police custody ends on the same day. The duo, with Gajkosh, will be produced before the court on Wednesday.
