Parents upset about query

Maharashtra Navnirman Vidyarthi Sena on Thursday approached the deputy director of education after a parent complained that a question in the application form of Diamond Jubilee School, Mazagaon asked about parents’ monthly income.

Maharashtra Navnirman Vidyarthi Sena on Thursday approached the deputy director of education after a parent complained that a question in the application form of Diamond Jubilee School, Mazagaon asked about parents’ monthly income.

Chetan Pednekar, vice-president, MNVS, said, “The deputy director said he would check the application forms of all schools for the questions.”

“The question is optional, not compulsory,” said Leena Aparajit, school spokesperson.
