The legislators’ panel, appointed to investigate the bashing up of police sub-inspector Sachin Suryavanshi in the Vidhan Bhavan premises on March 19, will table its report in the state Assembly on Thursday, the concluding day of the budget session.

The state government is expected to propose the revoking of the suspension of the three MLAs allegedly involved in the incident.
The panel, which was led by senior MLA Ganpatrao Deshmukh, has reportedly registered factual findings of the incident without any recommendations or conclusions. However, the statements of the police officers and the CCTV footage have established that three MLAs — Rajan Salvi (Sena), Jaikumar Rawal (BJP) and Pradip Jaiswal (independent) — were not directly involved in the incident.
The CCTV footage has allegedly captured Ram Kadam (MNS) and Kshitij Thakur (Bahujan Vikas Aghadi) while beating up the police officer.
