A delegation of Sena MPs including Anil Desai and Arvind Sawant made a representation to Mumbai police chief Rakesh Maria on Monday asking him to take action against the editor of Tehelka magazine.

They have also lodged a complaint at Azad Maidan police station against the magazine a day after party chief Uddhav Thackeray slammed the magazine which, in its recent issue, has published an article equating Bal Thackeray with Dawood Ibrahim and Yakub Memon. He had said Shiv Sainiks will decide how to tackle the issue.
“Tehelka is trying to defame Balasaheb and revive its dead status,” said Uddhav at a function in Mumbai on Sunday.

Taking a jibe at Tarun Tejpal, the founder editor of the magazine, Uddhav said, “What is there to speak about Tejpal who was embroiled in a controversy related to sexual harassment. He is just using our name to get fame,” Uddhav said. On Saturday, MNS leader Bala Nandgaonkar had filed an FIR against the magazine over the same issue.

{{/usCountry}}In an editorial that appeared in Sena mouthpiece Saamna on Monday, the party has requested the union government to act swiftly on the issue of One-Rank One-Pension (OROP).
“It was both shameful and disturbing the way our ex-servicemen demanding OROP were treated while protesting in Delhi on the eve of Independence Day. It seemed as if the Delhi police were even ready to kick them if they did not go away from the protest site,” it said. The editorial said that it was the government's responsibility to ensure that justice was meted out to ex-servicemen, as promised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
