Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj on Saturday met Parag Sawant, who has been lying in a hospital bed ever since July 11, 2006, when a series of bombs ripped through Mumbai's suburban trains, killing at least 186.

The senior BJP leader went to the Hinduja Hospital and enquired about Sawant's health. She later told reporters that he was fine and called her 'Aunty.'
Priti Sawant, Parag's wife told reporters that he was in a coma for 22 months after which his health started improving.
"He slowly began to understand our conversations and started communicating with us through his eyes and facial expressions. He has improved a lot and can also talk now. He replies when we ask him something," Priti Sawant said.
On that fateful day, the bomb explosion in Sawant's compartment threw him out of the moving train. He suffered severe head wounds.
