Three teenagers, Zuber Hussain, 15, Arbaaz Sayyed, 17, and Aniket Eknath Ghawade, 17, drowned in separate incidents while swimming in the sea at Juhu on Sunday. While the body of one of the boys had been found late Sunday, searches were on for those of the other two, police said.

The Juhu police said the first instance was reported at Silver beach, the secluded area of Juhu beach, where Hussain and Sayyed drowned behind the Godrej bungalow. Both were residents of Andheri (W).
Police said Hussain and Sayyed came to the beach at 1.45 pm with five friends and went into the water together. They were soon struggling and police were called in. “We roped in the Navy, coastguard, fire brigade and local fishermen. Hussain’s body was found around 8pm,” said inspector Machindra Bodhke.
Ghawade, from Vile Parle (E), came with six friends to Birla Lane beach, behind Tulip Star hotel, around 3.30 pm and they all went into the sea. Ghawade’s friends called police when they saw him drowning.
