Two Mumbra residents drown near Haji Ali

In the fourth case of drowning in the last three days, two friends drowned in the Arabian sea near Haji Ali when they entered the sea after offering namaz.

The Tardeo police registered a case of accidental death, after the fire brigade fished out their bodies.

One of them was identified as Waqar Sayyad Shaikh, 25, whereas the other is yet to be identified, police said. "Shaikh and his friend offered namaz in the dargah and later entered the sea at around 4pm. They were struggling to stay afloat and locals informed the police."

The police said the deceased, both residents of Mumbra, had went for a swim during high tide. The fire officials said the police informed them around 4.49 pm after which they sent a fire engine and an ambulance.
